Our Story

Over 14 years ago, Glenn and David came up with an idea to open a bakery in South Boston. Now, this was during a recession, at that time, West Broadway in Southie was deemed not desirable. So, all we heard was, “Are you both CRAZY?!!!!!

Obviously, we proved everyone wrong. Since then, Sweet Tooth has cemented itself as the premiere custom bakery in Boston. We specialize in unique amazing cakes and pastries that are custom designed and baked to order. Our homemade baked goods are made from the highest quality all-natural ingredients, festively decorated, and packaged to bring a smile to each customer’s face.

We are aware that there are other gourmet bakeries at either end of the spectrum that produce similar products. However, our commitment to customer satisfaction is two-fold, we use all-natural ingredients and our baked goods are handmade, fresh-baked ensuring the highest quality and tastiest desserts on the market. Secondly, our desserts are packaged in our pink box decorated and wrapped in brown tulle to look fun and emotionally engage the customer and party goers in the celebration experience.

Glenn Quirion

Raised in culinary surroundings by a family of small business owners, caterers and pastry chefs, Glenn Quirion began cake designing at the early age of 12. Since this adolescent baking beginning, Glenn has managed a family catering and gourmet European bakery, operated his own specialty cake and catering businesses in Maine and Colorado, and improved cake designers for a major bakery chain in the west. Glenn's passion for cooking, and interest in healthy alternative recipes for gourmet cuisine translates well into this foray of gourmet desserts and catering. Glenn previously worked for a performance travel company as a sales director; he also earned a masters degree in vocal performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

David Venter

Born to a family of independent advertisers, Boston Advertising, David Venter's innate talent for design was nurtured and encouraged early on. His formal liberal arts education in graphic design combined with his natural creative talents has aided him in lifetime career in graphic design and marketing. These skills, coupled combined with his entrepreneurial spirit, have led to various independent design inventions and small business ventures.
